We sat in a circle and a first girl was told something. By the time it got around to the last Brownie...it would have amounted to, in your case, Rav's mother is moving in to make sure they sleep in separate bedrooms. LOL
Excellent idea! Have her FReep, too.
Rav, aren't you glad this remains a secret? I mean, it's just a 20-30 or more.. people in the USA and another one a few thousands of mile away who know about it. *snicker*
... and I don't know how to ping the ATRW list either!

'Morning, everybody. Still no word from Mama today, and no news these days typically means, well, no news. I'm not feeling so peachy today - my coldflu thing of last week seems to be trying to make a last stand - so I'm not ready to call her yet to find out what's going on.
Anyway, I've noticed several people mentioning that they've missed pings about Mama. I'm still getting my posting legs here, but I think I'm finally understanding what a ping list does. I'm most comfy here in this thread, and not as comfy on ATRW (so much gratitude to all you - oldngray and others - who've copied my posts here and pasted them there, and I'd love it if you'd keep doing that when my posts are pertinent to over there as well). But a ping list, now that's something I think I can manage. I mean, all it is is a list of folks who'd like to be in the "to" field of a given post, right?
If I'm understanding that correctly, tellyawhut. If you'd like me to make sure you receive any updates here about Mama that I make, let me know. And I'll try to make sure your name gets in that field so my sparse updates and replies come to your attention.
Howzat sound? And, though it doesn't feel terribly holidayish to me, happy new year to all of you - I hope it's a blessed year for everyone.

Thank you, Julie, and I've added you (and you, Iowa Granny - I actually pulled my ping base from the list of people Mama last updated when she was typing herself), and I will read the prayer. I appreciate so much all the prayers and the special acts y'all are undertaking to help heal my mother; I'm sorry I don't always reply individually to each of you - I'm not here terribly often (I have my own online haunts, and I have a two year-old - heh), but I read each of your replies. I pray for you. And I thank you.
I talked to Daddy and it seems like the prayers are working - there is improvement today in Mama's arm. It's not a vast improvement, but it's marked enough to comment on, at least. The doc seems to think she might get to go home again tomorrow, and then we'll see what happens after that. So much hurry-up-and-wait, and it must be so frustrating for her.
Not much else to report. I'm having a down day, so sorry if this sounds terse. Thank you all so much for keeping Mama and my family in your thoughts and prayers - for caring and loving so much. We definitely feel it, and we definitely need it. Love to you all.

Thank you ONG...very much!
Thank you for your encouragement... you're always an encouragement!
Could you tell me how to ping everyone that is on the ATRW list please?
I have a copy of it... that is, the latest one kay published, but don't know how to use it. Thought that putting "ATRW" in the "To:" box would suffice but FReep won't accept that.
Raven... congratulations. Trust all will go well with your plans and that happiness will follow you wherever you go.
The news is ALREADY here, Rave! Congratulations.

OK - you can rest now.
I've been cleaning out the email boxes. I removed 1500+ from the deleted file.
Holy smokes!!!
If you have Outlook....be sure and "compress" your mail file using the file utility.
Otherrwise - it'll remain a very large file.
I get an option asking if I want to compress, but I didn't know if I'd be able to access them, so I always say NO.
IF I compress, will there be any consequences?
There are 1014 in the Sent Box.
I'm going to go delete them now. (Then I'll have to delete the deleted file again. There should be an easier way!)
If you DON'T compress - there will be consequences.
I compress about once a week. If you haven't done it before - it may bump and grind for 5-10 minutes!!! Don't turn off you're computer
There are checkbox options for
1) don't create a SENT file
2) Permantly deleting files on exit
etc....in the mail options menus
You must have it set that way somewhere.
The Sent Box is empty now. There are about 700 emails in the In Box I need to sort thru.
Thank you for the advise about Compressing. I will do it tonite when I get home.
Good morning.
RAV, YOU'RE ENGAGED!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning!
OH ! Congratulations! ! ! !
Well she is home now, life goes on, and I'll think all day it's MONDAY.
Hope y'all had a good New Year!
