Yes I agree --- and no police --- the two you saw were carnival fakes for their politician prisoners.

I would have loved to have gone to the Plaza de Maria Pita where they all ended up but 2+ hours in one spot was enough for me that day.

Next year I will get a different venue. See the people filling the bars and restaurants in their costumes.

The cowboys were great.

I almost commented on the Vaqueros. I wasn't sure about the 'Police' as their weapons didn't have red barrel tips.

The other thing I noticed was no street vendors annoying the crowds.
