The French space agency is to publish its archive of UFO sightings and other phenomena online, but will keep the names of those who reported them off the site to protect them from pestering by space fanatics.
Jacques Arnould, an official at the National Space Studies Center (CNES), said the French database of around 1,600 incidents would go live in late January or mid-February.
He said the CNES had been collecting statements and documents for almost 30 years to archive and study them.
"Often they are made to the Gendarmerie, which provides an official witness statement ... and some come from airline pilots," he said by telephone.
Given the success of films about visitations from outer space like "E.T.," "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" and "Independence Day," the CNES archive is likely to prove a hit.
It consists of around 6,000 reports, many relating to the same incident, filed by the public and airline professionals. Their names would not be published to protect their privacy, Anould said.
Advances in technology over the past three decades had prompted the decision to put the archive online, he said, adding it would likely be available via the CNES website www.cnes.fr.
Weeeelllll, I, for one, wish to express our hearty WELCOME to our newly found giant insect dark overlords (pronounced with a French accent "AU-VOIR-LORDS")!!!!
The UFO phenom appears to be permanent as background, among other phenoms as our common, public world becomes exponentially more complex.
Hmmmmmm.
I even gave my set of GREAT BOOKS away.
I thought James had some very useful insights. He was more kindly toward spiritual issues than a lot of other elites.
Whitehead . . . dredging up faint memories . . . Certainly a deep thinker . . . guess I ended up classing him along with a lot of folks who have a lot of pontifical, sometimes very insightful things to say about life and reality but who have missed it too wholesale vis a vis the God of The Bible for me to belabor them much. But I really don't remember anything specific about my Whitehead reading.
hmmmmm
Whitehead is not easy. I have one of your Great Books--Plotinus. If you can read Plotinus you can read Whitehead. Whitehead, BTW, started his philosophy with God and built downward, as did Plotinus although he was kind of before Christianity.
IMHO, when people laugh about 'chemtrials' and don't think their has been any change in that artificially created enviroment over the last 20 years,....nor do most people even consider how Scripture has been reported for some 4000 years and most people are unwilling to consider the meaning of a separate body, soul, and spirit,....is it very surprising that when numerous well intentioned reports are made of UFOs, a majority of people simply discount them as less than trustworthy?
Oops, ...the chemical tanks on my cloaking device need refilling, have to run, before the little people see my mothership hovering over them....
I would agree that they may indeed come from much closer than some hypothesize, but make no confusion about their identity. Just as God created different beings with volition, humans are not angels and those called 'ETs' exhibit many of the characteristics we associate with spiritual phenomenon.
Compare how those who do not have faith in Christ and are unbelievers attempt to categorize spiritual phenomenon compared with believers and their reports of spiritual experience. There are reasons for everything and our purpose is already established through faith in Christ.
BTW, we are told in Scripture of deceiving spirits. Not all things other than ourselves are benign.
Just on a collatoral note,...IMHO, I've been struck by how many Islamic extremists have resorted to living in caves and influenced by numerology, along with an obvious infatuation with the Koran.
Considering we are told in Prophecy of a demon army being released in the latter days from beneath the Euphrates, along with past reports of Matrieya showing up in many of those same environs and then mystically vanishing, IMHO, I suspect there is much more going on in that theater with spiritual warfare than we might perceive by worldly standards.
I haven't seen much speculation on these issues in the last 6 years but indubitably such machinations continue to evolve.
Have either of you seen much analysis or reporting on say a spiritual/ET/GWOT perspective? (just in case the tin foil goes in short supply...)
Mais oui.
True. true.
I'm still skeptical, however, that ET's = demons 100% is a 100% total explanation of all the phenomena.
My Biblical universe can easily include folks from other universes/dimensions what would be part of fallen creation and under the destructive control of satan--the prince and power of such regions . . . . ? . . . at least at one point in . . . "time" . . . .
I do believe that all or virtually all those dinking around with earth are under satan's influence, control or outright fallen angels/demons pure and simple.
Thx for your thoughtful posts.
Before the Iraq war, there were multiple exhortations from some Christian sources that IF we went into Iraq--we would be releasing hoards of demonic forces from hell in that region upon the world because of historic . . . gates/doors or some such and somehow our 'invasion' would, in the spiritual realm, authorize, cause such a release.
It was a paradoxical thing. Seemed to be God was saying--according to such sources--don't do it. On the other hand--that Saddam was quite evil and the region needed a heavy hand of MORE righteous control.
It was more than a bit paradoxical and confusing, to me, at the time.
I do believe such hoards have been released from that region upon the earth, from hell.
What is GWOT? Great War On Terror?
Have read; routinely read a fair amount of stuff on the spiritual aspects of ET's/UFO's etc. imho, little of it is right on. Some seems to have this or that aspect right. But still, over all, leaves me feling . . . that the author missed it in serious key ways.
All seem to still be seeing through the glass darkly, imho, including me.
Are you saying you couldn't say anything?
Once you have seen something like this, it is a life changing experience.
Oh I could have said something, but I did not want to be referred to as ET.I would have had my gonads busted forever. The private told anyone who would listen, but the ridicule he endured made him sorry he did!i was glad I wasn't in that loop.I told him in no uncertain terms,I would make a lousy witness.I told everyone not to be so hard on him,as he went a long time with no sleep. He never liked me as much after that!I have no doubts that what I saw was not normal.Combine the expanse of the sky with the speed of the incident, and I became a believer.I know it was not a reflection of any kind.Of that,I am certain.
Lots of airline pilots feel the same way, with just cause, evidently.
Undedrstandable. But sad, just the same.
Anyone found any particularly good UFO sites recently? Any good docs, photos to share?
Am weary of the BASH RICK WARREN trash hereon and still too weak to go to the church 'watch-night service tonight.'
So, looking for some informative, recreational UFO sites that I might not have seen yet.
Thx in advance.
There's always the Earthfiles website. There are several categories pertaining to all types of unusual phenomenon, and a large archive of current and past UFO/ET incidents.
True. And it has been a while since I checked in there. Am still too poor to be a member. LOL.
