I think Mr. Bell returned to the USA because of two issues: 1) the unreliability of the ISDN line in the Philippines and 2) the horrible spate of typhoons that went through the Philippines recently.
I hope his new 21 year old bride is not using him for a green card.
The third reason might be to get superior prenatal care for his pregnant wife. I can't imagine that delivery suites in Manila would be half as good as those in the USA.
The main reason to return to Pahrump would be that he had difficulty with zoning regs when he tried to put up his amateur radio antenna. Art is a radio ham first and the rest is a hobby.
