Good for you! There are far too many parents unwilling to just say "no" to their children's desires for inappropriate toys and clothing. Neither my wife nor I would ever be considered prudish, but some of the stuff advertised for children today is so beyond the boundaries of taste and is so overtly sexual that we cannot allow it in our home. Children need to be children. They do not need to be prematurely sexualized by the twisted minds that seem to dominate the fashion and entertainment industries.

Children need to be children.

Exactly! When I was a child we were outside on the coldest days getting fresh air. We made doll houses out of boxes and used our imagination. We didn't sit in front of tv or play video games. Plus we were grateful for anything we got. I see such a lack of manners in children these that I am shocked. Then I meet the parents and understand why the children are brats. .. I don't know if I am paranoid but I am very careful whose house my child goes to and I don't allow her to do sleepovers. Maybe its because I had her at 41 and theres a huge age difference from the oldest who is 27. I do notice all her brothers and her dad are way more strict then I am. I feel sorry for her 1st boyfriend. He is going to meet 4 brothers and a strict daddy. Thankfully thats a long time away. Merry Christmas ~~Pandora~~

I am very unprudish, but the Bratz dolls are absolutely so far out of line, it's astonishing. My five year old is constantly asking for them, and I absolutely refuse to allow them in my house.

What kind of sick freak company puts out little sexualized 8 year old dolls? I can't believe any parent lets their daughters have these creepy things.
