Plan B:
Get a good set of rabbit ears, pick up an amplifier, maybe at Home Depot, set up the rabbit ears on a card table in your attic, and run the cable down to your set.

(Sign says, "No dogs allowed -- except seeing-eye dogs" Why don't they put that sign down lower?)

Got
one of these hooked up to the 19" TV/DVD combo unit in the guest bedroom. Works great for picking up TV signals broadcasting from downtown, about 20 miles away.

Plan B is probably what's going to happen. I have a set of amplified rabbit ears, and I installed outlets in the attic so I don't have to run an extension cord up. I even already have a coax line running down to an outlet in one wall in the living room (I put in the sleeper line, just in case, years ago when I had to reframe a wall).
You just reminded me of that sleeper line--thanks!
