I strongly recommend you proceed with that in a safe manner. Workshops tend to generate dangerous amounts of combustible and sometimes explosive quantities of sawdust.

You should make sure that all of your equipment has dust-collection systems, and that the whole shop has a good sawdust vacuuming system.

Then set up the wood burning facility such that it uses only outside air for combustion, and that the heat it produces is carefully introduced into your workspace.

It is a comfort, but it deserves careful planning.

So we discovered on a number of occasions... one fairly serious in '94......

You should make sure that all of your equipment has dust-collection systems, and that the whole shop has a good sawdust vacuuming system.

Shovel and wheel barrow/fertilizer bag is a cheaper option....

we've only a small shed........
