However... Maybe I am paranoid but I think a concerted effort is underway to drive a wedge between conservatives. This story is a case in point. And the fault line runs through FR!

We're taking casualties, but it's mostly of the suicide squad sort.
Along with a few who just get a little too hotheaded.

Printers and I get along well. I hold them in deep respect make sure they are well supplied with ink and high quality paper and they are happy.
Copiers, on the other hand, hate me. I just want one set of copies, no staple, no sorting, just one slightly darkened set of copies so I can have a set for when the FDA comes around to bust my chops. Is that so wrong?

Our particular beastie plays tricks on me. When used to scan it cuts the bottom 2" off of a 30" drawing. Grrrr

I would say it goes a little beyond that. It is not enough to maintain we have to grow. The last election was not so much, "the base did not turn out" because the base did for the most part.
Where we lost was that we were so busy squabbling with each other that we totally neglected to outreach for those who could be swayed to our POV. In fact in many cases outreach of any type was labeled "Pandering" and cause for more squabbling. We have to stop doing this.

We need to stop beating ourselves up over the last election.
Nobody "won" it.
The sad truth is that, in a two-party system, the only way to show your displeasure with the party in power for their malfeasance is to vote in the other party, even if they are potentially worse.
We all need to digest that, and then prepare to move on to putting together the program that will solve our problems better than simply turning over all power, all decision-making, and all resources to a central government.
