Back in the 70's and 80's it seemed whenever OSU would go out there and play the Rose Bowl there was always some bizarre never heeard of before penalty that the refs would call against Ohio State. LOL!

Yes, they do. I think the problem is they leave the cold, miserable Rust Belt for warm, sunny Hollywood and they can't maintain focus. Instead of wind chill factors they adjust (gladly) to shorts and tees again. They get the whirlwind bowl treatment and - presto - they don't focus on business. The Cali schools have a huge home field advantage which is why they usually win the Rose Bowl.
