If WVU wins, I think the Big East is undefeated!

A good sign that the Big East is a division that is to be taken seriously in college football.

"one reason I never ever tell someone my team is gonna kick their ass....cause I don't want to have to eat my words"

Good advice...I can use some of it (at times) :)

On a related note - One would almost expect UT (Tenn.) to at least win games considering the fact that they pull no punches when it comes to flouting NCAA rules. Between them and Alabama, I think we have some really stiff competition over which program is the most ethically challenged.

PSU deserves due credit for beating UT.

On an unrelated note - I hear that Alabama is all set to hire Nick Saban. Knowledgeable sources are quoting a consolidated 50-million (!!!) package and this supposedly includes the 15 mil. that'll buy out Saban's current contract.

Well actually when you have a 10 win BCS team facing a 7 win team it more about bowl tie ins and mismatches, but thats a talk for another day.

..on a lighter note.....WVU took over the lead against GT. Guess GT is taking the VT or Golden Gohpers playbook of choking in the 2nd half.....

And yet another NFL head coaching vacancy will open up.

I agree. It is quite shocking.

Mal Moore, the boosters, and the perpetually desperate Bama fans don't seem to realize that Bear Bryant is not coming back anytime soon. No amount of money is going to introduce character/discipline/ethics in the Bama football program (and that's what they lack/have been lacking for quite a few years now).

Well any team that claims National Championships from second rate sources has problems.

Difference is only 3 points; however, if GT doesn't get its act together very soon, this game is pretty much over.

Re: VT, I did not expect them to lose to Georgia. Georgia hasn't been all that great this year (though they did beat us late in the season).

Wonder if Bobby Petrino will be making his move to the NFL after this football season?

We'll see how many opening there are. Saban refused to answer any questions about Alabama at his press conference.

Some sources are already claiming that the Bama offer is official. Considering that Bama became a national joke after the Rodriguez mess, I think they may have landed Saban. After all, they wouldn't want to repeat that tragi-comedy (with Saban this time around) all over again.

Miami Herald mentions a 40 mil. official offer: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/16362536.htm

I'm watching the games on delay, so after watching PSU/Tenn, I'm just watching the Wisconsin game now.

The officiating has been much better this year than last, but the officials blew it on the first Arkansas TD run. A hold that breaks Jones loose is in the gray area, and so not a big deal that it wasn't called, but Monk first shoved one Wisconsin player down from behind, and then grabbed ahold of the jersey of the other and threw him back towards centerfield. It was quite an athletic pair of moves to do while running at full speed, but still blatantly illegal, and pretty obvious(even if the announcers didn't seem to notice).
