...oh stop with the pathetic Pac 10 crew....that was hard to see...why don't you blame the Bowl for not even having a damned 25 second clock that can run decently.......jeesh!!

Looks like Colt won despite still being injured, his season-long lip coldsore looks to be as big as ever...

He'll be in the Heisman race all of next year.

The Pac 10 crews have been lousy all year, and screwed OU out of a shot at the mythical nat'l title game.

......you are right.....they did....but if you are an avid football fan you would have seen a plethora of bad calls in every frigging conference this year.....as usual....and everyone bitching and complaining about it.....I agree they totally blew that OU vs UO game....but they didn't make anymore mistakes this year then anyone else.....

Disagree, the Pac 10, Big 12, and SEC officials were particularly bad this year, the Big 10 pretty good.

I don't agree with that, although the Oregon game was horribly called at the end.

Personally, if I were a ref in an Oklahoma game, I'd throw a flag against them every time they made a first down, just on general principles.

Admittedly, I could not pass the referees ethics exam, which is why I had to choose a different line of work.

...well you would have had to see EVERY game to make that claim.....but aside from the one glaring BS call, all the crews are equally good and bad....I've seen too many complaints on every conference....but where I will agree is that some conferences have better replay rules and officials then others.....that I have no doubt...besides, not to rehash it too much...but those pathetic Pac 10 officials also missed 2 calls in Oklahoma's favor in the first half with one leading to a touchdown....so I never give much credence.....hell, blaming the refs in this game is ludicrous....if anyone is to blame, the Iowa coach made some pretty nutty calls on runs that they lost yardage on due to the stupidity of the call.......THAT is where the blame is........anyone blaming the refs should have put the game away with skill earlier.......

Tech's comeback began just after 9 p.m. around the same time we heard Saddam was dead......coincidence?

I was at the game and left shortly after halftime. I'm stuned with what happened. My boys said it's because they left with their UT sweatshirts that Tech started playing well.

......Looks like Virginia Tech is following the Minnesota Golden Gohpers game plan of collapsing in the 2nd half. Did these guys go out for beer and chips during halftime?

WOW, the last three days have saved the Bowl season. After a week of snoozer blowouts, we have had one great finish after another.

Three more great comebacks today.

STafford has me stoked for next year. IF we can find ANYONE who can catch a pass, Georgia will be a force to be reckoned with.

Stafford has me stoked for next year.

Yes.....he showed the maturity to shake off an atrocious first half and is starting to hide the ball like Greene did.

And he has more raw talent than Greene.

And it looks like Bobo has the goods as well.

how could any good Aggie actually be hoping Texas wins tonight?

There's no such thing as a good Aggie, and I loved seeing the Aggies get a mudhole stomped in them by Cal.

Haven't heard that name before. What special qualities does he have that establish him in (or, presumably, exclude him from) the League of Extraordinary Defensive Coordinators?

OK, I was trying to be cute, but this year it's looking like a traditionally well-performing defense is getting thrown on alot. Criticism is that [The Dallas Cowboys] aren't pressuring enough or taking shots when they should.

I was probably wrong, given Zimmer has been considered for NFL coaching jobs, so at this point I change my mind...

you can't have him!

My son, his buddy, and I were there at the BC/Navy game...that Navy ground attack is for real!

What a game to watch in person. We really thought Navy had it, but BC came through when they had to. Their kicker, Atrocious, pulled it out, and since I was rooting for BC, I got to experience the joy of that last-second victory.

Wow. Just wow.

That counter play with Lumpkin scoring was a thing of beauty.

Sorry for the lack of pings yesterday everyone....something came up and that was that :)

As for yesterday...

Good effort by Iowa. Texas had to show up to win that one, and to their credit, they really appeared to WANT to be there....

On the same note, what was that VT? 21-3 at the half only to lose 31-24? To GEORGIA?? A team that nearly lost to Colorado and DID lose to Kentucky? Not good at all.

BC got lucky, that's all I have to say.

Finally, the bowl games have gotten noticably better as we have gone on in the bowl season. Hopefully that means the BCS bowls will be good.

...totally agree....BC shouldn't feel all that great since Navy coaches handed it to them with a stupid option play with less then 2 minutes left....dumb move.....Texas earned it's win when Iowa couldn't capitalize on it's early great play and VT.....well let's just say that taking a page out of the Minnesota Golden Gophers and falling apart in the 2nd half was not a wise career move for that coaching staff. All in all, better games then the blowouts that preceded......tomorrow will be a flurry of great games it seems like......
