I get the sneaking feeling that I'm suffering from a blackout. A TV blackout, that is.
And the Bucks welcome Kelvin Sampson to the Big Ten.
I checked, I'm getting that too...
I don't quite understand it, but hell watching old Clay/Ali fights can be a fun way to pass the time when nothing else is on....
Yep....
The Buckeyes need to tighten up that 3 point defense, but other than that, they played better tonight.
Indiana couldn't miss from 3 tonight until late in the game.
Thank goodness that Fox is wasting a few minutes telling us that Florida will be playing Ohio State, otherwise most of us would have no idea....
I have one thing nice to say about Sampson.....he was wonderful to OSU after our plane crash tragedy. A real class act. Now, there, I did it. I said something nice about someone formerly associated with OU.
I adore Taylor Hicks....:-)
Well I do that too, but I play PS2 on my screen in screen so I always have something on the TV as well...
You haven't "upgraded" to a PS3 yet?
LOL
Nah I haven't even seen one and I don't exactly have the extraneous $$$ to do it yet....
Lion, I don't know if it's really Lloyd Carr's fault so much. USC is a tough team to play, especially for their non-conference opponents. The only non-conference opponent to beat USC since 2002 is Texas last year in the last couple seconds, so Carr has a lot of company. The Pac-10 opponents see them every year and the familiarity helps. Speed on a team is one thing, but the speed at which they execute out there is a little different for teams who haven't played them a lot. But here's the thing. In pre-game discussions with other USC people out here, I told them that Michigan looked like a solid, upper level Pac-10 team and that maybe the closest comparable was Cal. Both teams had really good quarterbacks (Henne is really good, better than Longshore), Michigan had more depth, Cal had a much better running attack, and that Cal's defensive backs are better and that Cal hits harder. And I know I'll get hammered by Michigan honks for saying that, but I still think it's true. Carr will take the heat again, but USC is pretty good. Even Mike Hart said after the game that "USC is a lot better than Ohio State, at least defensively." Which means only that he was impressed with how fast, strong and difficult their guys were to compete against.
Pete Carroll's teams have a long history of great second half performances because of adjustments he makes based on what has transpired in the first half.
This is kind of a 'glass-half-full' discussion. Did Carr fail to adjust or were Carroll's adjustments significant enough to have off set and surpassed any adjustment's made or attempted?
Truth is, probably a bit of both.
I've seen one... behind a kiosk glass pane at a Best Buy. It looks pretty shiny behind there, and Motorstorm is actually somewhat fun.
Nice to know I'm not the only person with money troubles... right now there isn't even enough to go to school this spring. Time for some grunt work, it seems.

Touchdown, Wake!!!! Amazing!!!
Last year's Texas Rose Bowl victory, I thought was one of the greatest all time college games, matching two very even teams and the outcome not final until the end. The kind of game where the last team with the ball wins.
Having seen the game yesterday though, I now think that Boise vs. OSU has to surpass even that game.
I am still shocked that 37 points were scored in about three minutes and that a team could score 22 points in two minutes and still lose.
Come on, WF. Statue of Liberty for two.
That's definitely beyond dispute. I wasn't surprised that USC was able to shut down the Michigan offense, because PSU held them in check with a defense that isn't as good as USC's. What shocked me was the ease with which USC's offense dominated what I thought was a very physical Michigan D.
I was certainly impressed by USC's performance. Based on what I saw I think USC wins that game no matter when or where it's played, so claiming that the layoff hurt Michigan isn't credible.
I would agree with that, but I really didn't see any Michigan adjustments whatsoever. I'm certainly far from an expert, but if Carr attempted anything, what was it?
