****Iowa had no business being in that game vs. Texas.****
Same can be said for Minnesota and Purdue. Purdue was 8-5 but they didn't have to play either Ohio State or Michigan.

........and today the excuses are the
let down from Fla. jumping 'em in the polls, and, if that doesn't work, it's the 7 week lay off.
Just like Malia........
whine, whine, whine.

If you want playoffs, I'd suggest, as much as I disagree with the system, that you get used to it. The money is talking with the bowls and the BCS and as long as they are able to both It's why the Big10 doesn't complain about playing their big bowl in LA - often against USC or UCLA - most every year and just says things like "We'll have to be a *lot* better to win". It bites for bragging rights, but it's a lot more lucrative to play in the warm. Who wants to go to Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinios or Indiana for January. Heck, Pasadena was FOUNDED specifically to get away from Indiana winter weather.

Doom on You Bob Stoops
Boise St. with some really bad clock mgmt and odd play calls. Prevent defense offense doesn't win games.

Michigan looked flat.... I think they put whatever they had into the game in Columbus and never got it back. I think OSU showed pretty much how to beat Michigan, which is pretty much the gameplan that New England had aganst Minnesota (Running plays are just lost downs). Michigan was only close to OSU because A) they were inspired from Bo's death, and B) two gimme TDs when they were out of it due to a center's broken hand...which is not to say that they were a bad team, just not as close to OSU as they looked.

The squawking about Michigan belonging in the Nat'l Championship game should come to an end now........
they didn't even belong in the Rose Bowl.

Michigan hadn't played ball in almost seven weeks. I think the layoff took the edge off. Spending over a week across country from home doesn't help...but it offsets jetlag.

Fox has done an excellent job tonight of choosing the one replay that doesn't show whatever is in dispute. Morons.

USC was able to shake it off. Michigan wasn't. By the end of the first half, it seemed like the game was going to break strongly one way or another the second half. A halftime adjustment giving Michigan's QB a little more time and there'd be a lot of big plays. A failure to do so, and there'd be interceptions. USC was struggling on offense too, but it was inching along with short plays, and dying drives...not sitting on the knives edge. And when they abandoned the running game, they quit wasting downs, which when they were able to string a few short plays together, they were able to stretch the field a bit.
