Oddly I’m not surprised at this outcome. Cowboys D cannot be relied upon to stop even Jacksonville when they must— never mind Megatron & Co.(Who I believe was short of the all time single game receiving record by only some 6 yds held by Flipper Anderson) The way the rules have evolved and accrued favorably to the Offense, this is the norm, and just the way the NFL wants it. I thought it was a great match, and losing is not as painful. Cowboys can finish 7-9 and win the NFC Least!

It does seem like that in the Black ‘n’ Blue as well — after a deceptively competitive start, it appears that no one wants to win the d***ed division. I remember years ago, Detroit beat Dallas in the last game of a strike-shortened season, last minute Eddie Murray field goal, and won the division with some stupid 5-4-1 record or something (then lost in the first game of the playoffs, either to the Redskins or the 49ers).
