I grew up in Tucson and as a kid I would go bow hunting with my dad for javelina. Each year a hunt would be put on to cut down their numbers, guess they don't do this any more.

A guy at work went out bow hunting javalina. Early morning of the first day out, he was stringing his bow when a large, angry javalina came charging into his camp. He didn't even have to stand up, just pulled back and shot it. Shortest hunting trip he ever had.
