Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
The Point was closed due to a plumbing malfunction (better to not know) so ~sniff~... no boobs and joes today. Went instead to the Mexican place and had fajitas. :~)
The woulda been open if'n you'd told us what you were talkin' about...
Fried chicken, Corin... Chicken Breasts... and Joes. ;~) Best in the state :~)
Tsk tsk... what are going to do with you?
'e's a flibbertyjibbet.
How do you solve a problem like Corin Stormhands?
That's unfortunate.
Well... I've loafed around the hotel quite successfully all weekend. Just never got the momentum to go ~out~.
I think there's a certain potential that I may end up a hermit.
A will-o-tha-wisp...
You'll need more cats...
You do realize that your husband and your brother are singing show tunes to each other...
Cut to two hermits on a hillside.
First Hermit: Hello, are you a hermit by any chance?
Second Hermit: Yes that's right. Are you a hermit?
First Hermit: Yes, I certainly am.
Second Hermit: Well I never. What are you getting away from?
First Hermit: Oh you know, the usual - people, chat, gossip, you know.
Second Hermit: Oh I certainly do - it was the same with me. I mean there comes a time when you realize there's no good frittering your life away in idleness and trivial chit-chat. Where's your cave?
First Hermit: Oh, up the goat track, first on the left.
Second Hermit: Oh they're very nice up there, aren't they?
First Hermit: Yes they are, I've got a beauty.
Second Hermit: A bit drafty though, aren't they?
First Hermit: No, we've had ours insulated.
Second Hermit: Oh yes.
First Hermit: Yes, I used birds' nests, moss and oak leaves round the outside.
Second Hermit: Oh, sounds marvellous.
First Hermit: Oh it's a treat, it really is, 'cos otherwise those stone caves can be so grim.
Second Hermit: Yes they really can be, can't they? They really can.
First Hermit: Oh yes.
Yeah - they are... it's prolly all on account of Rudy.
no doubt
Well, ~everything~ is Rudy's fault, you know.
But I always wanted to beeee....
...A Lumberjack!!!
:-)
Speaking of cats, I bought mine a vacuum cleaner box. Doesn't have the nifty red trim your cat motel has, though.
I have to assemble the innards for my own use, though. Ungh.
On the plus side, it was twenty bucks off, plus they gave me a $20 gift card, and I shop there enough for it to really be handy. So that's good.
Cool! Our kittens love their box :~)
Tam is checking the opening out as we speak. And Halvah's already deep inside.
Got the headlight taken care of. Was a loose connection. So I've still never had a headlight replaced.
Heh, Gidget's watching a show about badgers on Animal Planet.
Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger...
