The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Toyota Camrys? heh, didn't know that.

Glock has a NASCAR team. Maybe I should follow that one. :-)

Oh dear... Beagles is cute, but half the beagles I've met have been certifiably insane.

They are awful cute...but there's gotta be a reason most of the strays we'd find back home were either beagles or beagle mixes.

I think they get a scent and completely zone out, a la Homer and his happy place...

And there's the certifiably insane thing.

Called the vet and seven neighbors...no luck. Thegirl's friend (who spent the night) said they are looking for another dog. :-) Just finished cleaning up a mess in thegirl's room...the foresaid friend was watching her. So, rule #1 dog stays in kennel unless she is being held, or she is outside. She had just been outside according to the friend, but she didn't have to go. I told them that when you take her out, she needs to stay out for at least 15 min...not 15 seconds. Silly girls.

Good thing I still had some carpet cleaner for pets.

Oh gee whiz...

I'm kind of glad my dog has not mastered looks like that.

Of course, to give effective "looks" you have to be capable of sitting still for more than two or three seconds at a time.

Oh, and she must be at least 6 months because she doesn't have her baby teeth anymore.

Yeah, I know.

We just never had hounds...so I don't fully understand their inner logic. ;-)

Don't blame you for not wanting to keep the pup. I wonder if she's a Christmas present that just didn't work out.

Some people shouldn't have children ~or~ pets.

I just put the word out on the homeschool loop that we need a home for a puppy. Let's wait till Monday and see if we can find a home for her ourselves. :-)
