24 does start tonight! We were just sitting here wondering if Rosie's going to get back in time to watch it, or if she'll be behind. I don't even know when her flight is! We'll be DVRing it, but she may have to play hookie from work to catch up.

slept in... cuz there's nuthin' we can do... kidz are out feedin' and waterin' the animals...
power flickered last nite fer a few seconds, but that was it... more ice this mornin'... and more on the way...
will get out and check the lane again this mornin'... gotta feelin' they'll be more "obstacles"...
If you were hearing cracking all night I'm sure there will be. Hope no structures are at risk in all this. Take your camera!

Well, that's still a lot of rain for you guys.
We had three downy woodpeckers and a flicker at the suet log yesterday. Lots of birds visiting the birdbath and feeders. Squirrels are getting plump on the dropped seeds.
Morning G'nad; glad to see that you still have power. Round three commencing shortly. Sounds lots more nasty in your neck of the woods than up here. Hope all continues to be as good as can be expected.
I'm not on the ping list, though I usually go find the thread after it airs here. Since I'm a couple hours behind, I have to avoid the live thread once it starts on the east coast.
Laclede Electric cleared the powerline right-of-way last summer clear tuh town, and that has paid of for them in spades... the main issue now is stress on the lines... ice on the lines is as thick as the fat end of a baseball bat now...
gonna have some hotchow and do a little recon...

Looks like 2J will be seeing frozen stuff pretty soon.
The truck just came by and dumped salt on the road.
Third wave is almost here...we plan to head to the YMCA shelter if we loose power.

We're getting sleet. Good news. Sleet bounces and won't stick to the ice.
Freezing rain is bad. South of me is getting the freezing rain, north is getting sleet. We could go either way...
The Squirrelz are toting mouthfuls of leaves up the trees as fast as they can...
I just emptied and re-filled the bird bath again--the starling are taking baths, four to five at a time. The ground around is getting more icy than the yard as a whole, should be interesting as the day progresses. My squirrels are too busy eating to bother getting rid of any left-over leaves....LSA
I think they're building up their nests.
We've got freezing precip here.
Well, if you've got freezing precip, that means we'll be getting it shortly. When I was out in the back yard it was already just a frozen mess; Gypsy didn't even go out with me the second time, she can't keep her balence, even though she's got four paws and is closer to the ground!!
FWIW, it keeps sayin' cloudy or overcast when it really isn't. I think they need to clean their lens.
Back from gettin' all churched up. We're decrapitating the garage. Someone is coming to pick up the locker we bought (yard sale) for Jr. several years back. Never made it to his room.
We've offered the drums to the nayber kid. Jr. wants a new set (and knows he has to buy his own).
