I agree with you, but as a lifelong rider, I am more concerned about the lack of riding skill possesed by some Harley posers who buy Harleys to feel manly. Say "countersteer" to a group of Harley riders and one may know what it means. Do the same to a group of sportbikers, and a lot of them could probably describe it. There are posers on sportbikes, too, but the nature of them kills off the idiot much faster.

That is the truth. I *was* an AMA Motorcycle safety instructor for a few years (after I grew up and obtained a much needed dose of mortality / humility. Braking and counter steering were two things I stressed while teaching. If you didn't grasp those concepts you didn't pass my class.

Yep. Imo, you have described another phenomenon which partly accounts for the increase in fatality rates--one riders have to correct.

There is NOTHING in this world funnier than watching a harley "rider" drop his bike. I saw two during Biketoberfest this year.

I just found out this year that they (HD) made motorcycles. For the longest time I thought they just sold T-shirts, patches, coasters, shot glasses, leather vests, patches, bottle openers, clocks, patches, stickers, and (lest I forget) patches.
