Best guesstimates point at 4-6 shots, all aimed at the limousine.

Let's assume your theory is correct (it isn't, as I will demonstrate), using the conspiracy buffs' favorite alleged shooting sites. For a "triangulated crossfire," everyone's capping off at least three shots (anyone who was in the Army, like me, knows this). Try a minimum of 9 bullets, more likely 12-16. We've accounted for four of them. Where'd the rest go?

Well, as any law enforcement officer (again, like me) knows, they would've gone into the backstop.

Said backstop, in this case, being the crowds of people on each sidewalk.

How come nobody but Kennedy and Connally got hit? Did they use special bullets that, if they miss their intended target, just disappear in a puff of illogic?

You're assuming that what happened in Dealey Plaza turned into a one-sided shoot-out.

The individuals doing the shooting were highly trained. They weren't a bunch of gang-bangers unloading on someone during a drive-by shooting.

I'd have to go back and look as to where the missed shots went - but I am aware that at least one was recovered by either the Dallas Police or Secret Service afterwards.

I wish I could tell you that (for example) that Sniper 1 only fired once and hit his target) and Sniper 2 fired twice (missed once, hit the target once), etc. etc...but I can't.

No one knows for sure. But on the basis of my previous post, evidence seems to point towards multiple shooters.

As I also said, I hope that someday new evidence comes out that will authoritatively say "Yes, there was one shooter in the 6th floor corner of the Book Depository". With that will come the end of the conspiracy murmurs.

Until that point, it's fair to say (and safe to say) that there is a strong likelihood of multiple shooters.

"We've accounted for four of them."

If there were four shots, this presents a problem for the Lone Gunman Theory, since even the true believers of the Warren Commission Report do not claim that Lee Harvey Oswald got off more than three shots.

There could have been more than one shooter without there being a conspiracy, of course. My reading of the evidence leads me to conclude (albeit with less than complete certainty) that there were at least two, and possibly three, shooters who were operating independently that day.
