My mistake--I misremembered the shot count. I should have said three.
What I found interesting are two things:
1. Lee Harvey Oswald, from USMC records, was not a good shot. Fellow Marines verbally attested to this as well.
2. The sight on the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle found on the 6th floor, was not aligned properly.
How can a rotten shot like Oswald get off several high-accuracy shots from that distance with a mis-aligned rifle site?
Could it have been Oswald's lucky day? The day when the stars and planets aligned for him?
Yes, it's possible. But odds are, it's not very possible at all.
The pics from the Zapruder film did not become public until several months after the shooting, when Life published their article and the frame-by-frame pics. Reportedly, quite a battle ensued for the rights from Abraham Zapruder, after he initially agreed early on to sell it to Life--then got some bigger offers.
The actual movie wasn't shown for 15 years or so, as I recall.
As an aside, when I visited Dealey Plaza in 2005 (after being a Kennedy assassination buff 40 years), I was completely surprised at how relatively close the distance was from the 6th story School Book Depository window to the "X-marks-the-spot" head-shot location. And also how close Zapruder actually was to the fatal bullet strike (about 30-35 feet tops).
The Plaza was so much smaller than I had imagined after all those years of reading and watching films about it.

Don't know how to post an image here, but take a look at this hilarious picture and article from "The Onion" regarding the multiple-shooter theories.
(And see the Zapruder film party and the LBJ article right next to it. FUNNY!!!)
I visited the 6th Floor museum in 96, before the window was roped off, and had a chance to look out down the line of fire. I also was impressed by how easy a shot it must've been with a scoped rifle. It felt like you were right on top of the stretch of road the president was hit on.
No doubt by extraterrestials ...
As did I in the early '90's ... then again a few years ago after the window area was roped off. I'm a former Marine and know full well the emphasis the Marine Corps puts on marksmanship. Oswald (as most know) was a former Marine ... he had been practicing at a local rifle range with his weapon. This was not a difficult shot ...
At least they didn't do that on 9/11. Time Warner intentionally kept the Cartoon Network running nonstop to give kids something to watch.
Today's my son's birthday. 11/22/77.
:-) A good thing that happened this day in history.
Yep. Put those two in the proper positions (Kennedy was sitting at a different height than Connally, not just further in), and the "magic bullet" makes a normal straight line through both of them.
Yes. In fact, a computer simulation done for the History Channel (I believe) positioned the two as the film showed they were, and the "magic" bullet trajectory was exact through all entry and exit points. Straight shot.
I still wonder a little about the way the bullet was discovered (on the stretcher in the hospital next to Connelly) and the relative lack of damage to the bullet. But it's true it could have dropped from his wrist, and further I've seen tests that show that minimal damage is certainly possible even with that many hits (mostly soft tissue).
So I just can't buy off on a single conspiracy theory. Too many people would have to have known, and too many years have passed for no one to have come forward with credible info.
Now that you know this little known fact you'd better protect your back.
I still have my home town and the Birmingham newspapers of from the next day reporting the murder. They are yellow and old, but I still have them.
"Most people would prefer to believe in a vast conspiracy than face the scary notion that one disturbed individual can change the course of history."
It came within an ace of happening 3 years before:

What???? Third grade????? :-)
Make up your mind.
;-)
My father remembers he was in 9th grade, standing in the lunch line, principal approached the line of students and announced that President Kennedy had been assassinated.
Well Kennedy’s assassination was a big event and the tv networks chose to switch to updates on his assassination. I think the same thing happened when the world trade center collapsed 8 years ago. I was not around when Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 but i was just starting my 2nd year of high school in 2001 when the world trade center collapsed
