WELCOME RACE FANS

Welcome to the offseason withdrawal thread which is here for everyone to post racing news during the time between Nov 20, 2006 and Feb 10, 2007 when The Budweiser Shootout begins the new season.
As always this thread is dedicated to our military men and women serving our country. A big thank you to all of them. Hugs and prayers to those who have been wounded and are recuperating at Walter Reed, Bethesda and Brooke Army Med Center. And, to those combat field medics who care for them - THANK YOU!!

Hell, 25% of Eureka is on Speed. LEO have shot and killed 3 of them in the past 6 months...

Overnight there was a red flag with time to fix a guardrail.
http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=242234 Manning managed to take the lead from Duran during a caution involving the No. 18 Porsche Fabcar, which slammed into a guardrail in the infield portion of the 3.54-mile Daytona road course with Gaston Mazzacane behind the wheel. The Frenchmen was transported to a local hospital for precautionary X-rays and a CAT scan.
Rained a most of the night I guess.
5th Flash
12th JJ
43th Smoke

Didn't make it very far past the last televised segment so I obviously didn't have any!
Did wake up about 1:00 last night and checked, race was under full course red.
Back to GREEN! Flash's crew is in 3rd, back on the lead lap!

Smoke says......this Rolex at Daytona is a jinx for me

For the most part all I have heard when I've tuned is is "MONTOYA". I guess he's the only one that's competitive.

JP is a rookie endurance racer, in 2nd, but so is Dalziel who is leading. 1st & 2nd were very tight, with the leader using traffic as a pic to open a slight lead.
Smoke is 108 laps down.

It's getting good now!!
Is Flash getting in the car for the last couple hours? I'm rooting for him too. I guess the announcers are wondering too.

All the leaders will have to change drivers due to the three hour limit. Flash could be the one, but they are saying most likely Magnusen.
JJ's team has moved into the top 10, 25 laps down.

Leader is into the pits, no driver change expected.
Angelelli to the front, but only momentarily. JP to the front.
Angelelli to the pits. They have no clutch, will have to push back out.
