As always this thread is dedicated to our military men and women serving our country. A big thank you to all of them. Hugs and prayers to those who have been wounded and are recuperating at Walter Reed, Bethesda and Brooke Army Med Center. And, to those combat field medics who care for them - THANK YOU!!

I screencapped some of the Dale movie preview on CMT. For some reason it saves the pics to bmp and I have to change them all to jpg to get them to photobucket, so I may not have them all until tomorrow.

So far THIS IS MY FAVORITE. No windshield pulloffs in those days..........he drove with his knee and wiped his own window going down pitroad. LOL

I need to get my butt in gear with the TV stuff. Cox cable will be fired (keeping the Internet) and DirectTV hired. They also have the Nascar package discount that expires at the end of this month. Need a new wireless router....so much to do....

UPDATE 2: Jack Roush says his deal with the Fenway Sports Group is not complete, but his Roush Racing team has scheduled a "BIG" announcement Feb. 14 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach. That would be an appropriate place for Roush to announce that he has partnered with FSG, the marketing arm of Boston Red Sox owner John Henry. Roush said the contracts are in the hands of the lawyers, and he would expect a decision by the end of March. He indicated that there could be a name change to the team. FSG has been negotiating with Roush for about the last five or six months. Roush said FSG's ownership role could be anywhere from 25 to 50%.(SceneDaily.com)(1-24-2007)
UPDATE 3: The principal owner of the Boston Red Sox could close a deal next month to buy half of Roush Racing, one of the most prominent teams in NASCAR, officials said Wednesday. Negotiations between John Henry and Jack Roush , the owner of the racing team, are in their final stages, and if all goes well, details could be disclosed before the Daytona 500 race on Feb. 18 , said Mike Dee , the president of Fenway Sports Group , which handles Henry's non baseball sports ventures. That disclosure came hours after Roush told a group of reporters in Charlotte, N.C., that a deal was close and could be unveiled in Daytona on Feb. 14, comments that apparently caught the Red Sox off guard. "Obviously we're not going to refute what Jack said," Dee said in a telephone interview yesterday evening. "Our goal has always been to try to have this all completed by the start of the racing season, and racing season starts Feb. 18, so that would be consistent with the goal that we have been trying to work toward."(Boston Globe)(1-26-2007)

SPEED will air two 30-minute NASCAR Thunder Preseason Testing shows from Las Vegas next week on Monday, Jan. 29 and Tuesday, Jan. 30, both at 7:00pm/et. Drew Johnson and Nicole Manske, from The SPEED Report, will host, with Bob Dillner on-site from Las Vegas.(1-23-2007)

We had Cox here and they just sold out to some farmer in Nebraska calling himself Suddenlink. My email went from so-so straight to hell and their internet connections aren't far behind. I only watch Speed and Food stuff and that seems to be OK...
