Took the Camaro out on Lowes during the holidays. Could only do 70. The turns are really banked when you are running against the wall. I did three laps.
My kids gave me the rookie driving experience at Richard Petty. 1/2 half a day with 8 laps at 170. I will report back if I make it home in one piece. I going in the next 6 weeks sometime.
You have some good kids!
They were running this heap up a hill and the crossed the street right in front of me, they wouldn't race my Bitch' Camaro...
I made a few trips to DEI with friends and relatives over the holidays, Always impressive. The day after Christmas almost all the shops were closed, MWR was even closed, But not DEI, they were all working! I hear from some locals that they have a very tough boss!!!
I have a few kicking stories that I just can't share on the internet. But one includes a very famous driver that my wife saw in a bar acting like a drunkin Frat boy with all the girls...Married of course.
Have Fun! One of my fellow employees took a similar ride at Las Vegas Speedway about 3 months ago. It seems his limit was 140 or 150. Were those thugs stealing the #99 car...
I guess I should use the ping list. Duh
Sorry if some double pinged/contacted.
Fantasy league is open.......FReepmail me if you would like to join.

Ok I should have only done that once.....Yikes :(
I thought I was the only one tweeking, I need to see some good ole boys making lefthanded turns at 165mph soon.
Double bogey and I'm not even on dial up anymore. Sheesh.
Kerry finished up the testing for Jr today. Jr's moving his Busch shop and wanted to check in at home........ha ha...he was bored with testing!
Sure is a lot of crap flying around about Jr and his (giggle) "step-monster."
Dale Jr. to Drive Black #3?
By Dennis Terry:
Dale Jr. driving a black #3 Nextel Cup Chevrolet is not a very inconceivable notion at all. As Dale Jr. and Teresa Earnhardts relationship becomes increasingly public and pointed, the realism of the two parting ways is more and more probable.
Teresa has stated that the ball is in Jrs court and he has responded that he wants ownership in DEI.
DIE-hard Earnhardt fans have been dreaming about a return of the black #3 to the track since Dale Sr. was tragically killed at Daytona in 2001.
I think that the latest comments between Jr. and Teresa Earnhardt is going to be the genesis that makes the dream becoming a reality.
You heard it first on the Blog, so mark my word, this subject will be the sports top story for 2007 and most likely 2008 as well.
Why?
Without Dale Jr. DEI looses 50% of their sponsors, 50% of their employees and 100% of their fan base. Dale Jr. has matured as a driver and become wiser as an owner. He realizes that he is the charisma and the talent that attracts the fans, the sponsors and the media circus that surrounds him at every public appearance.
Teresa will have to realize the same and concede to Dale Earnhardt Jr. becoming more than just a contract driver for the company that was built by his father if she wishes to keep him as a driver and Budweiser as a sponsor.
She really has limited choices in this matter.
JR Motorsports can begin building competitive CUP cars very quickly. Dale Jr. can secure Budweiser, Chevrolet and pretty much any other top sponsor to fund his program.
Also, Dale Jr. already has an engine leasing contract in place with Richard Childress Racing for his Busch team. That relationship would guarantee him the horsepower needed for a competitive CUP program.
A licensing agreement with RCR could allow Dale Jr. to use the #3 owned by Richard Childress. That would instantly mean tens of millions in souvenir sales for both Jr. and Richard.
Change the Budweiser red to Intimidator black and you make every Earnhardt fans dream a reality and Teresa's worst nightmare the same.
The most likely scenario has Teresa and Jr. reaching an eventual agreement, but Dale Jr. definitely has more to gain here no matter which direction this goes.
So, it appears that the ball is actually in Teresas court, but its Jrs ball, his team and the game is being played in Jrs arena.

Kerry Earnhardt taking on new job at DEI
Just having an Earnhardt face walking around the shop that can talk to the guys will be a morale boost," he said. "He looks more like his daddy than any of them.
"And he has experience racing. If we tell him a problem he might get the message better to Teresa."
Kerry grew up in a different house from Teresa and Earnhardt Jr. He didn't find out who his father was until later in life.
But he says his relationship with Teresa is great and quite different from her tumultuous relationship with Earnhardt Jr., who said on Monday that would be a factor in his negotiations to re-sign with DEI beyond this season.
"I don't know how their relationship is," Kerry said. "I just look at my relationship with her and realize she's not a bad person.
"There's two sides to it. Dale Jr. and [sister] Kelley grew up in the home with her. I was on the outside with my mom and stepdad. I didn't grow up with the frictions they had like every child has with a parent. It's hard to speak for Dale Jr. and what his situation is."
But Kerry fully expects to work and laugh side by side with Earnhardt Jr. at DEI -- as they did on Tuesday -- for many years to come.

K-man, I just hit the peak of post-Christmas, pre-taxes depression and just couldn't figure out what was wrong with me... I think you've hit it! Only 30 days to the shootout! I've got my DVD of Cars to fall back on, and we're down to 14 cases of Coors left... I think I can make it.
I think I can, I think I can, I...
29/RCR and 44/DJ brought in a third car today for testing. Kevin said they were having trouble getting hooked up.
Nascar made them remove one of the other two that they had already tested.
Seeing that UPS drafting today - he looked pretty darn good.
Kerry said the engine he had in the 8 car today may have been used, because he didn't have the speed.
The DEI car yesterday was only 1/10th off speed!!
This is Jr's show, not DEI's.
I can't believe she would let that happen. Who knows, though, Dad and Jr were the racers, she was just on the sidelines watching - until it got dumped in her lap.
Budweiser would certainly follow Dale Jr.
Note to fantasy league self...."The next time DJ or Dale Jr calls, suggest we get together with Bud and UPS and discuss the possibilities...."
Did I say that out loud? lol
It's going to be interesting.
