IIRC, there was a Ms. Brazil who was in Ms. Universe competition and they were complaining she was too heavy. There was also discussion about having the lower ribs on both sides removed to make the waist smaller.
There really is something unpleasant about the 'making them look like boys' thing. Remember Twiggy? That's what I aspired to look like. 5'6" and 86 lbs.

The models are starving too. An acquaintance of mine is a fashion model ... has had big spreads in Vogue, etc. She looked more "filled-out" 5 years ago, as a high-school senior than she does now. I fear for her life.
