Tingviller, if I remember correctly is only about an hour from Reykjavik. I the five years we lived there we saw a good part of the island. I hope to someday return and visit the country again. We did the touristy things, but had the most fun when we got off the path and got to meet the people. The Icelandic people are some of the friendliest and hospitable people I have ever met. Do yourself a favor and visit.
