CNBC is discussing live the new report that there seems to be three times more oil on Earth than previously thought. The report explicitly states that the 'peak oil' theory is completely false.

A timely article IMHO since the feds have cleared the way for shale oil extraction in Colorado. Guess the Dems are lining up the propaganda in order to shut down shale oil production by the evil oil companies so all our women can eventually wear berkas?

Not so sure. I think this is a Rovian/Halliburton/Exxon plot to undermine alternative energy.
Why spend so much money on crazy alternative energy schemes instead of working on making existing items more efficient, and, for crissakes, DRILL!

Wanna bet the leftist media plays this as "3x the CO2 over the next 100 years: global warming will be worse than currently predicted." You can bet your life on it.
But how does anyone know how much undiscovered oil hasn't been discovered yet?

Oh good, now we can put off finding alternative energy sources for another 50 years or so. Or we could drill in Ted Kennedy's belly...at least we would find plenty of ethanol...and methane.
