This is one mature (and aging) adult who will work BIG TIME to maintain her mental health....God willing and "the creek don't rise".
You're right; the title of the AP headline is misleading.
Then the NewsMax article goes on to say that Allen may/will concede as early as Thursday morning.

...and I replied :)
Bless you..Well said!
And welcome, Kerretarded!
Well I heard that Bill Maher is a child molester. Let that SOB deny it.
LOL.
You know, maybe the average American doesn't get how the left operates.
This is why I think today and over the next few days as we encounter family and friends we should mention what Maher did and pretend to be confused because we thought the Democrats were all about tolerance.
Oh, and I also just read that Nancy Pelosi said last night that "the war in Iraq isn't meant to be won but a problem to be solved".
The left is giving the American people the full Monty. They're so busy basking in the glow they don't realize just how precarious that majority is. Let them keep talking...
Guess Maher must be trying to deflect the criticism he got for mocking Steve Irving....dressing up Halloween in a swimmer costume w/a bloody stinger in his chest.
Please let me know, either by pinging me or FReepmailing me, if you would like to be added to or removed from the list.

Sounds like you are having a great trip, stopem. Travel prayers continue until your safe return.
Wasn't that aobut the most classless, tasteless thing you ever heard of? [Excuse the lousy grammar.] More of the immaturity of the left showing.
My soldier is home!!!
..........or back in the state, at least!!
Heres how the day went:
His battalion left Kuwait in the wee hours of the morning. We got an update around 8:30 a.m. that they were about to take off from Amsterdam and were on a direct flight to Volk Field in Wisconsin and were expected to touch down at 4:50 p.m. We left here shortly after noon...............the weather was perfect..............an unusually warm autumn day, partly cloudy, slight breeze. Just perfect.
We got there in plenty of time to stop at a truck stop and grab some lunch, then headed for the airfield. We checked in, and headed for the parking area; got pulled over for a random car search. After parking, we walked over to where everyone was gathering; went through security, and got to the hangar area just in time to hear the announcement that the flight was delayed 45 minutes.
We waited for Katie to get there (a bit late, as usual.:) Once she was there we walked around...............there was a LOT of excitement in the air. Lots of people had signs, there was a food vendor selling everything from pizza to pumpkin pie & cheesecake; the Family Readiness Group had a table in the hangar where they were giving away freebies to all of the kids, and cookies, punch & coffee for the adults. There were a couple of media trucks, and a few reporters working their way through the crowd.
The sun was setting, and they turned on some huge outdoor lights so we could see. All of a sudden there came an announcement that if we looked to the east, we could see the lights of the plane approaching. Of course everybody got REALLY excited then. We watched as the lights got bigger & bigger & then the plane was there and ON THE GROUND.
Katies cell phone rang almost immediately and we all got to say a few words to Ev. They had to go through customs but actually did all of that on the plane.
They guys were released from the plane in groups of about 10 or 15. They walked over to the hangar and as they passed between the hangar and the fence where we were standing each of them received wild cheers and applause. Everyone was craning their necks to see their loved one. Ev was in one of the very last groups. We were all jumping up and down and waving but he didnt see us. Finally Katie yelled HI HONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at the top of her lungs. He finally turned & saw us & grinned & waved.
After walking through the hanger the guys were released fo spend time with their loved ones. Katie spotted him first & ran over & got a smooch & a hug. Then the rest of us got our hugs, I of course was crying.:)
We had about an hour & a half to spend with him before the battalion had to board the buses to head for Fort McCoy for demobilization. We spent most of the time just making small talk........he asked about the elections........had hadnt heard anything........and was very surprised to hear about Rumsfelds resignation.
I had brought him a bag of cheese curds so the 5 of us (Mr. ML, our older son Jake, Ev, Katie, myself) stood around sharing the bag of cheese curds and chatting.:)
At one point I whispered to Katie that I was sure she & Ev would appreciate a little bit of time to themselves, so they walked around a bit, holding hands & whispering sweet nothings etc. etc. etc.:)
After a while there was a short ceremony, an official welcome home, with a few dignitaries, including the lieutanant governor of Wisconsin, & someone representing Russ Feingold, & some Army brass. The speeches were VERY short (heres one example: GO BADGERS! ON WISCONSIN!! WELCOME HOME!!!!!!!!)
Then we had a little more time to visit........and then the announcement came that it was time for them to board the buses.
So, one more round of hugs, and he was off to demobilization.
All the way home (in the dark, nervously avoiding the many deer that seemed to be everywhere) I marveled at the huge sense of relief I felt. I guess Id gotten so used to the constant sense of worry & stress, really almost a physical thing, that now that its gone, well, its just a marvelous feeling.:)
I want to take this opportunity to stay a great big heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you for the constant support, prayer, and kind words over the past year. You made it easier to bear, and I will be forever grateful to all of you!!!
I mentioned all of you FReepers to Ev last night; he also sends his thanks, and he wants me to tell you Hats off to you!.................for all of your support, prayers, care packages, etc.
My prayers will continue for all of our troops. May they all be safe. May they all have a homecoming as wonderful as my sons.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
He mocked Steve Irwin? That's as low as you can go. Bill Maher can rot in in Hell for all I care.
LOL...............change of tagline!!!!!!!!!!:)
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WELCOME HOME EV....WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!
((( Mozie ))) WOO-HOO!
I am so HAPPY for you!
Please give your brave soldier my profound thanks!
We've all been anxiously awaiting your report ... and you've done it in spades ... all the details we wanted to hear. God bless you and your family!
