I'm Genuinely Confused...Why does George Allen still think he can win?

Posted on 11/08/2006 1:09:02 PM PST by zbigreddogz

I'm serious, he's behind by 7,000 votes. There is no way a recount will make up that amount of votes. Are there a lot of absentee ballots to be counted or something? I'm really confused about this.

Mike Savage, who donated $5k to Jerry Brown, is about to start blasting RUSH, by the way. Can you believe the chutzpah?

Yah...there's a lot of blame gaming going on.

It's not a one person or a one issue disaster. There are a lof of factors that went toward this.

Lanny Davis still thinks Kerry carried Ohio in 2004.

Now Virginia Interactive is reporting that only 94.57% of the precincts are in. Glitch? A real change? (Still a 7,300-vote spread.) http://sbe.virginiainteractive.org/index.htm

Hit this link.

There are 4 Precincts left to report. Allen can gain a couple of thousands votes in those counts. That will not overcome seven thousand gap, but in a recount you never know what happens

Plus, if Allen ROLLS OVER the dims will know they can push the GOP around like they did before.

Maybe because hes a moron? He didn't even know his mom was Jewish until a month ago. Most people learn that by the time they turn 10.

My UF prof old friend has noted that phenomenon in the past and says it is because Republicans always cheat and Democrats never do and have to endure Republican vote fraud all the time. There is no hope that a liberal will ever see reality because they do not believe in Reality.

I think you're on to something. Senator Macaca needs to fade off gently into the night. He has the distinction of running the worst campaign of the mid-terms.

>>>but how do you find those illegal votes?<<<

I'm not sure. Ask those familiar with election procedures in Virginia.

110,000 is in MD. VA has 17,000, a lot of which are military. Webb is a decorated combat vet, Allen needs over 12,000 of these votes. Webb wins. :-(

its painful - you have to go through the provisional ballots one by one - and ask "who is this", is this a legal vote.

that's why the Dems do it - they know its impossible to undo.

Of the mid-terms?

I think he ran the worst campaign I've seen in my short lifetime. Certainly worse then any major campaign in the 90's or 00's.

This is actually a blessing in disguise. Imagine if he hadn't fubar-ed his campaign, was re-elected, and won the 2008 nomination. The next president would be the junior senator -- from New York.

Remember, a number of those military votes are female. Webb trashed them more than once, and went above and beyond the call, making excuses for the men accused in the Tailhook scandal.

Ol' Jimbo isn't universally looooved by the troops.

They have just created virtual precincts for conditional votes, adding to the number of precincts. They have these virtual precincts for absentees also.

Thus the number of precincts has increased, as far as I can tell none of those already reporting (real and absentee precincts) have been zeroed out.

They are now counting these conditional ballots.

Conditional votes are generally not good for Republicans.

Wasn't Webb the porno author? And if so, he got elected in a Conservative Values State? Somethings wrong.

That has nothing to do with anything. My mother never told me she was. And I was certainly over 10 when my father finally told me.
