Hey, I signed up forthe Altar Society too! My husband grumbled that I should volunteer for something that didn't include helping to clean the church, but I told him I needed the exercise. LOL!
Pretty soon I will be dragging out my Christmas stuff and that will keep me busy for a few days. I also am going to be getting some of my Christmas shopping done over the next couple of weeks. I would like to be all done so that I can enjoy the holiday.
I hope your sister continues to improve. See you when you return!

LOL. I know that Paula Dean's show and the Barefoot Contessa, you can put on lbs just watching their shows. I haven't watched Food network in a while, but I would say that Rachel Ray's 30-min meals would probably be the lightest fare I can remember.
I think I will start watching it a bit more, now that the holidays are nearing.

Thanks for your thoughts.
Relevant Radio, our Catholic Radio station, really had been pushing that Catholic Voters vote for pro-life candidates out there during the election.
I continue to be stunned at how many "Catholics" continue to vote for pro-choice candidates, and feel that the church has no right to tell them about moral obligations.
Simply stunning to me.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before because sometimes I type a post and then delete it before I post it , but one of my favorite teachers was Miss Dann. She taught 6th grade math.
She had an out of class contest. The student who listed the most homonyms or synonyms won a dime. It was a weekly contest.
What a nice lady. She was a very tall, hefty woman with a very kind heart..if a student earned it.

I ran into a young gal when I worked the festival this summer who absolutely was overjoyed that our young, JPII priest was leaving, because she thought he was clueless about "women's issues." I pretty much ignored her after I heard that comment.
I blame a lot of this on the media, who are all about causing disaffection from the Church.

No Brit Hume tonight. I'm already reeling from the flu and don't need the all-stars to ram obnoxiousness down my throat. I'll stick to the Food Network or History Channel.

As you all know, I am one of only a handful of true conservative Republicans in Oregon....so, I listen to a lot of PURE liberal "barbra striesand" daily. Today, I heard glowing things about how America is finally back in the hands of the good guys, the problems President Bush brought on us will be gone, etc.
I asked them if they thought the problems with terrorism would just disappear now? and guess what? They said YES!
So, I am going to just sit back and take notes :-)

What the Left in this country has never been able to figure out is that the very first people terrorists will come after is them. Are they going to go after the weak and helpless, or the folks that keep and bear arms? It's common sense, which is something they obviously lack.

I'm actually starting to get over the worst of it with fluids and lots and lots of sleep. The occasional aspirin is helping, too. ;^)

To: Guenevere
Actually, I was talking about me. I'm watching Food Network or History Channel because I have no real urge to watch the All-Stars tell me how brilliant they are.
