If Republicans did not want to go to polls with 85, 86 and 87 on the Ballot, I have no idea what will make them go.

Parental notification - right, go out, vote, have it overturned by the courts. New taxes? California usually doesn't go for that, and the polls said so well before the election.

Had Tom actually run for the Senate? The opportunity to actually turn out Feinstein? There's something that would have brought out voters.

Uhh, I hate to say it, but if it holds, Tom will BARELY beat Garamendi for Lt. Governor. You are insane if you think a tiny win over Garamendi would translate to a victory over Feinstein.

Tom rightly calculated the Lt. Gov. is his best bet.

Diane was unbeatable. Against Boxer, it would have been a better bet.
