Morning Election Prayer thread bump!

Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
If the LORD had not been my help,
my soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence.
When I thought, "My foot slips,"
thy steadfast love, O LORD, held me up.
When the cares of my heart are many,
thy consolations cheer my soul.

Can wicked rulers be allied with thee,
who frame mischief by statute?
They band together against the life of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent to death.
But the LORD has become my stronghold,
and my God the rock of my refuge.
He will bring back on them their iniquity
and wipe them out for their wickedness;
the LORD our God will wipe them out.

Psalm 94:16-23

O Lord,
On this last day before the election, we ask you to speak into the hearts of all those who wish this country well, and lead them into the actions they need to take for election day.

We ask you to restrain those who would lead our nation down the paths of unrighteousness, who would destroy our ability to follow in your paths, destroy those who are innocent, rip apart the fabric of our families, and try to teach us that what they want is good and not evil.

O Lord, be with those who stand up against the gathering darkness, and let the scales fall from our eyes when it is time to chose the right over the popular, the good over the celebrity, the truth over comforting lies.

Above all, let your will be done, and may those of us who call you Master be there, the tool in your hands, to do your work when you call us.
