Well, interestingly enough, we can thank the Greeks for the whole idea of a flat earth, but I'd say the analogy compares a lot to those who support Darwin's theory of creation through tautological magic.

I'd say it also compares well to those who ignore proven physics to assume a counting of begats by a scientifically illiterate churchman in a document written by scientifically illiterate villagers based upon the oral traditions of barbarian nomads is a valid method of determining the age of the earth. If radioactive decay and daughter products are only a "theory", then explain to me how nuclear reactors and bombs work.
