To: Protect the Bill of Rights

Not sure what Monks and the republicans
are trying to accomplish. Winner needs 1/3
of the vote. Maybe they are trying to split
the democrats.

At FODU it was suggested that Nifong had
stacked Monk's court cases into June, thus
cutting into his campaign time and causing
him to come up short on the petition.

Another sly trick Nifong learned at the hands
of his mentors downtown. The local press and TV
are pretty quiet. No mention of last nights
mass rally featuring Jesse's chief shake-down artist.

Winner needs a majority of the votes, not 1/3 of the votes. Whoever gets more votes than the rest wins. And please, Nifong had nothing to do with Monks coming short on his petition drive. Why would Nifong not want Monks to run, considering that by splitting the votes, Monks gives Nifong a best chance to win?
