(CBS) The three Duke lacrosse players indicted for a rape they say they didn't commit are indignant over the effect the charges are having on their lives and their families.
In their first interviews, they speak to Ed Bradley this Sunday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

If anyone missed the Duke segment on 60 minutes, all they need to know is.....
1. CBS's six month investigation, black Ben Bradlee, and esteemed black Duke legal expert, have destroyed any credibility Nifong might have had. Nifong's only hope is the stripper refuses to testify and Nifong can drop the case by using the excuse, "without her testimony, I don't have a case."
2. The 3 Duke players are amazing young men. 60 Minutes showcased their innocence.
Come on you guys. She has to support her kids and pay tuition. She has to keep working. She also had to buy a new shoe.
Thanks for the good report. I am so glad it went well for them .
I made a point of mentioning "black" Bradley, and the Duke expert being black because I thought it important for people to know, the black community can't blame tonight's 60 Minutes, or the eventual outcome, on racism.
What has resulted in this 60 Minutes segment is a decision by the liberal media establishment to do a little damage control.
Apparently it has became clear even to the aging lefties at 60 Minutes that the travesty that is the Duke lacrosse case actually works more to discredit their liberal racist agenda than to help it, and is precisely the kind of event that might cause a few independent-minded black folks and soccer moms to begin to question some assumptions about the liberal party line.
And so, as they have concluded that the Duke boys are very unlikely to in fact end up being successfully railroaded, they have decided to get out in front of it now.
Isn't it interesting that 60 Minutes said they have been studying this case intensively for SIX MONTHS? It wouldn't take a person of average intelligence more than a few hours of familiarizing himself with the reported facts of the case to come the same conclusion as 60 Minutes.
And note how careful they were to have the most damaging conclusions about the case articulated by a black Duke law professor.
BTW, I note that Kim has NOT changed her story in any important respect as to the facts of what she observed in her various accounts of that night. What she claims to be her "opinion" as to whether the Duke boys might have done it may have changed, but she has been fairly careful to be consistent in her account of the hard facts of what she saw and heard.
And how does Leslie Stahl manage to keep a straight face while pretending to sympathize with a Christian critic bemoaning Bush's failure to do more to accomplish his faith-based initiative? Extra botox injections?
Yes, it is a word, but as you can see here on dictionary.com:

the American left is more illiberal than liberal these days.
I missed a live thread!!!! ~sobbing~
Thanks for the posts....most excellent!
I'm gonna have to have a front seat at that trial!
So they may have learned something from Dan? (Good post)
LOL.......Does Payless sell shoes singularly?
Ed Bradley = 60 Minutes
Ben Bradlee = Watergate Era editor of the Washington Post.
There also do not appear to be related. :-)
Duke Players Talk on'60 Minutes'
Sunday, October 15, 2006
By AARON BEARD, Associated Press Writer
RALEIGH, N.C. The three members of Duke University's lacrosse team charged with rape say they had expected DNA testing would clear them of a crime they insist they did not commit.
They said Sunday they were frustrated when authorities continued to pursue the case after those tests failed to find a match with the accuser.
"We were told it would help to clear everything up,"said Collin Finnerty, 20, who was interviewed on CBS'"60 Minutes"along with Reade Seligmann, 20, and David Evans, 23."So we were happy to go."
The accuser, a student at nearby North Carolina Central University, told police she was raped in a bathroom by three men at a March 13 off-campus team party where she had been hired to perform as a stripper. Evans told"60 Minutes"he cooperated with police as soon as they arrived to start investigating the allegations.
"It was scary,"Evans said."I woke up from a nap to 10 police officers in my living room with a search warrant. I went through every part of it _ told'em where they could find things and that we'd fully cooperate and answer any questions they had." -cut-

I get pretty creative with names, don't I?
I disagree; I believe the only place they can clear their names is in this dog and pony show that Nifong has set into action.
So they word is getting out finally.
Excellent.
And thank you for all you've done on these threads in the past.
You are very creative with names as you say. I did not check the spelling Ben Bradelies name. I take it you are old enough like me to have the random Watergate era media names confounding current names in your head?
Do you have an excuse, young lady??
The only thing that will clear their names is a conviction of Nifong.
Absent a conviction of Nifong, some will believe Mangum was just so tramatize or even out of it that she could not ID the "right" perps or that someone got to Roberts and bought her off etc. That is the one reason I think these parents may well spend some serious money and influence to take down Nifong.
