Agree with both of your last two posts.
OMG, those are devastating to watch.
Hey LB, first, I agree with you. For a little irritation read down in the comments on John in Carolina's blog 60 min hoax story-first take from Sunday night. It's amazing the convoluted logic that shows up. He/she contends that the video of CGM was fake--wrong complexion, etc. That no one touched why the boys left the house so fast after the party, and that the whole interview was the defense's material. That last may be true since Nifong has no evidence.
I don't think the 60 min story was terrific. There is almost no way to make it good because there is just too much information to get out in the time they had. I sort of like the angle though, they stuck to prosecutorial misconduct and didn't get into all the personal reasons why CGM is most likely a liar. I do hope we see more of Brodhead though--I like watching him squirm.
You can bet your booties that the faces in HIS SET OF PICTURES ARE NOT blurred out.
Remember this was a pre-empt to a Bash Bush scenario. It would pull in a huge audience.
I have three boys. Those full videos make me cry.
I do like one student's take seen on a sign "Dick Brodhead--Before he dick's you"
LOL! Me, too!
"(3) IF the case goes to trial and IF there is not a change of venue, the best the boys can reasonably expect is a hung jury because they are going to get O.J.'ed in Durham for sure."
That's my greatest fear in this case.
This case will never come to trial.
I'm a little grossed out by the big earring dangling and shakin' from Ed's ancient ear.
My sister is 16 years older and I am and dresses like she's 17. While comical, I find the ageing baby boomers inability to notice their wrinkles a little disturbing. They don't have to dress like Queen Victoria but spare me the belly buttons, earrings, and tank tops.
Any chance he won't be elected?
Hard to say. I wish the Repub candidate, whose actual name is not on the ballot and is only entitled to be written in, would drop out in favor of Cheek whose name does appear as a write-in candidate. I think it all depends on how many Repubs and Dems don't vote the straight ticket but are willing to take the time to separately mark down for Cheek. Or is the DA not on the straight ticket and vote for separately?
xoxoxox: didn't you have a sample ballot. I can't find the link. As someone who lives there and votes, what do you think are Cheek's chances?
I thought Cheeks is on the ballot & Monks is the write in? Or am I mixing these 2 up?

IMHO trying to make hay with the editing.
It's hilarious.
I think Recall Nifong-Vote Cheek has a decent chance, at least on paper:
Results of the May 2 primary--
Mike Nifong- 11,168 45%
Freda Black- 10,269 42%
Keith Bishop-- 3,288 13%

According to the latest voter registration figures, Durham County has 27,070 registered Republicans, 24,566 of whom are white. The county has 86,621 registered Democrats, 46,586 of whom are black. So the demographic bloc supportive of Nifong's behavior formed a majority of the Democratic electorate, while those most likely to be alienated by his tactics couldn't vote in the primary. As the director of the Durham County Board of Elections noted the day after the primary, "We had a lot of irate, irate Republicans who couldn't vote for district attorney."
Exactly on the editting, it is important to Evans and the others that he was a leader, a captain of the lacrosse team, and held the party. To the rest of us it is irrelevant.
I could care less if they have strippers at their house and neither would Duke if they were not backing and filling for hanging these kids out to dry. I could care less about the dynamics among the three SINCE THERE WAS NO RAPE. CBS saved space by rightly cutting out part of a statement that was irrelevant.
Great analogy.
