"Having been to Pittsburgh, I found this funny as hell."

Try living here. The population is still bleeding out of town. Taxes are through the roof. Ass backwards politicians.

The smell comment is 100% dead on. Seeing that the South Side, while nice, is a public urination zone after 2AM on the weekends, I find the smell comment hilarious.

Someday I have to believe this area will turn the corner. It is too damn beautiful around here and the people in this city are fantastic. We simply need a change in leadership that's only going to come after everyone leaves.

I remember when Pittsburgh was Rand McNally's pick as the No. 1 city in the country to live back in the mid-80's. I forget who was mayor back then.

I do live here. Anyone ever wonder why there are Pittsburgh Steeler fans everywhere in the USA,,,that is bacuse there is no real jobs here and the Local Gov caters to the blue hairs and Union workers{who, by the way, killed the steel mills}
When you have a town that is know as steel city, but there isnt a wokring steel mill here, what do you expect.
But, It is a friendly town.

Other than the Southside "public urination zone", I really don't think Pittsburgh has been all that smelly since the 1970's. I remember, as a child, riding past the J&L steel mill next to the parkway and having a contest with my brother to see who can hold their breath the longest. If you want smelly, try Cleveland!
