In my college days, good beer was whatever brand happened to be the cheapest by the case in whatever store we ended up stumbling into. After you've drunk five or six you don't much notice the taste anyway.

We ended up trying a ridiculously cheap beer ($4.75 a case including deposit for bottles) with "Huber Bock" on occasional weekends when we were REALLY low on funds, and I remember us drinking so many of them that we had to pee every five minutes, but we still couldn't catch a buzz because there was so little alcohol in it. It might as well have been just brown water.
