Israel has never launched a war -- it has risen up in self-defense against Moslem attempts at mass-murder.

Who cares what this "Dr. Sayyed Mohammed Ali" predicts? Didn't his Egyptian ancestor Ramses the Pharaoh have dire pedictions for the Israelites as well?

Dr Sayyed Mohammad Ali, who predicted this week's death of Egyptian acclaimed writer Najib Mahfouz Mahfouz was 94 years old. He had a medical history of bleeding ulcer, kidney problems and cardiac failure. He had fallen and sustained a head injury in July. His death was not exactly a difficult prediction to make.

He said he had predicted that in 2006 opposition to the United States will increase, and this is evident today in the coalition between Iran and Syria Because before 2006, Iran and Syria did not oppose the United States?

This reminds me of a program on cable we caught recently. Antagonistic to Israel (what's new?) and the
Six Day War, it seriously tried to recreate in a somber and serious way the Arab loss to Israel. It failed, in that portraying Hussein and Nasser, we ended up laughing, because at that point Egyptian state controlled radio was saying the Arab forces were prevailing mightilyand Jordan's Hussein was buying itthe Israelis were kicking their tails up and down the block. The way they portrayed Hussein coming to the realization they were creamed was hilarious. Just incredible.
It was like the Iraqi Information Minister's response as American tanks were rumbling around downtown Baghdad.
Needless to say, the impending demise of the nation of Israel is greatly exaggerated.

This is parochial thinking. Neither China nor Russia, nor the US for that matter is that deeply interested in the ME. If the children in Iraq would grow up the US could leave there, too and the ME could forget all about the US.

From Wikipedia about the Egyptian author Naguib Mahfouz (December 11, 1911 August 30, 2006):
In July 2006, Mahfouz sustained an injury to his head as a result of a fall. He had remained ill since then. He died on Aug 30, 2006 in a Cairo hospital after a heart attack. Prior to that, he had been suffering from a bleeding ulcer, kidney problems and cardiac failure.
Really how hard was it to predict his death?

I think it is more likely that
The earth, moon, sun and Milky Way would disappear, cease to exist
than it is likely that Israel will disappear within 17 years.
Israel will likely be scared/threatened within a hair's breadth of it's existence . . . But ALMIGHTY GOD IS HER GUARANTOR . . . And HE IS UTTERLY RELIABLE.
