This town is a hoot!
Durham hopes this fits to a !T
New effort seeks to lure residents

DURHAM - Bull City boosters who swear Durham gets a bad rap hope a new campaign will persuade more people to put down roots here when they move to the area for work.
The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce's fledgling "Make !T Durham" initiative is a $105,000-a-year attempt to tell Durham's story in full. Too often, organizers say, the city's foibles make headlines while its many attributes go unnoticed, creating an unwarranted image problem. -cut--

It's way too late for that-- However they are getting Priceless publicity.

If you don't kiss their collective ass, they assume the right to destroy you.
A hoot is right! It's like a little third world dictatorship shithole right here in the good ol' USA.
I don't blame Target a bit for not answering the NAACP survey. No matter what they answer, they'll get sued. They're smart not to answer. The survey is a sucker-punch waiting to land on the jaws of Target shareholders.
If the NAACP in Durham wants to target Target with a boycott, then target can close its doors, open up somewhere else, leaving Durham without those jobs, one less good store for Durhamites, and taking the money they put back into the local community from every sale. Go ahead, Durham, shoot yourself in the foot again.
