Former DA Says DNA Will Be Key In Ramsey Case (from 8/24/06)

~SNIP~

According to Grant, DNA will be the critical evidence in the case and reports of there not being any good samples left is simply not true.

"There are clean samples and there is a clean DNA profile and its there just waiting for a known to be matched with it," Grant said.

Regardless of whatever DNA might have been swabbed in Thailand, Grant said the Boulder DA's office will gather its own DNA from Karr, either with his consent or with a court order

~SNIP~

But he also says he has not idea what the unknown evidence would be since he thinks everything is out there already.

"There are clean samples and there is a clean DNA profile"

I took that they have clean samples to share if needed and that they have a clean 13 marker DNA profile"

Oh, that was Bob Grant. he's being used as a commentator a lot on TV, too.

He wasn't a Boulder County DA, he was Adams County DA previously and was on the team that Hunter put together of other DA's throughout the state, before the GJ.

He has worked on the case, in that respect, so has seen some inside stuff. Those guys were kind of like special masters, in a way.
