No, not really. It may be illegal soon to feed your child a cheeseburger. Or smoke a cigarette in the same house as a child. Or parade a young girl in revealing clothes.

Laws change based on social conditions.

I understand your point. I was obviously using more extreme examples to make mine. They aren't apples and oranges. They are different points on a continuum. What's legal today may be illegal tomorrow.

You're evading my underlying question. Is it *always* okay not to judge the parents in the way they raise their child?

Obviously when you see a parent harming a child you should be concerned, but passing judgement on a mother who puts her child in little girl pageants is rediculous!
