I agree. The only way he could make the sexual assault fit his scenario was to claim that it was Patsy's form of corporal punishment.

A wet bed, pullup in the closet, and wadded up turtleneck don't add up to murder.

I have a child that had bladder issues until she was seven. She's eight now, and every now and then it still happens. I've never thrown a fit, or hit her. I'm too sleepy. We get up, change the sheet, clean her off, change her clothes and go back to bed. It's inconvenient, but it's part of being a parent. I understand that some parents do awful things to their kids, but when it's this bad, there is usually a history.

On the nocturnal eneuresis (bedwetting) of which I am somewhat of an expert as both a mother and a former sufferer.

The wet bed, pullup and wadded up turtleneck mean that an independent and self-sufficient child got up in the night to deal with it herself and IMO met the killer in the process.

It's perfectly normal for a child her age to change themselves into dry clothing and snag a blanket or two from the cupboard or dryer and sleep on a sofa or even the floor rather than disturb parents or siblings.
