but no other length of the same cord, or the duct tape roll, was found in the house, right?
so that means the killer brought those items into the house with them, or they were disposed of from inside the house.
and I don't know how they would explain the fibers in the case against Karr.

No, none of the remainders of cord or tape were found. There may not have been any. Debris on the back of the tape indicated it may have been a used piece.
The cord was also wrapped on the outside of her shirt cuffs, knotted loosely around her wrists - that may have been to use it all up.

I'm not sure the fiber evidence is what it's claimed to be. I'm aware that it is presented to Patsy in her interrogation, but that could also be a ploy to get her to change her story if she was guilty.
There was a thread the other day about how to determine if someone is lying. The investigator stated very plainly that they will present false evidence during interrogations in an attempt to make the suspect think they have a stronger case than they do. Frequently if the suspect is guilty he/she will change his story to account for the false evidence. If the suspect is innocent he/she will stick to their story. Which is exactly what Patsy did. So, if the transcripts from Patsy's interrogation are being used as *evidence* that's a misrepresentation on the police department's part.
