That's because the hit was on Elaine. The sensation of having a mother in a mental hospital sells movie rights faster. You don't think it's a coincidence do you? If this "McCrary" was a REAL friend, do you think he would have smeared John's older brother's mother? Not unless Nate or Wex could make a buck, cause that is all that matters. To them anyway. You can see who is running the show, as you said, Wex hardly said anything. Nate just learned it all from his father though, so don't go taking pity on poor ole Wex.

No idea. I had no contact with Wex after the divorce of his first wife. And as I was small, most of my knowledge is through family conversations picked up over the years.
I've wondered if Wex goes online to forums and things. There was a mysterious old man from GA on one of our forums a few years ago who said he owned worm farms. (Nearly everybody said odd things to keep their identities from being known for real.)
He kept hinting that he was "someone" who would surprise us - especially who his son is. I was thinking when Wex originally said that John told him he was being held in CA for JonBenet's death - this was back in 2001 when he was in jail in Sonoma County - that maybe that was Wex who got online to some of the JBR forums and toyed with people. He even sent a bottle of champagne to some of the posters at one of their gatherings.
Someone probably knows who "Ellique" was, but I don't. I didn't get into all those poster mind games and didn't care who anyone was unless I made friends with them offline, which I seldom did, or if it were someone harrassing me. There are probably more things like that I could think of, if I put on my memory thinking cap. Don't really want to, unless it would help - like on some of the basic case questions that have already been hashed and re-hashed a million times, lol.
