Please define "many pathologists". Most of what is out there on the net is sensationalized speculation in order to get bookings or to flog the parents did it to cover up an accident theory.
If the blow killed her, she would have stopped breathing and strangling her after death would not have caused petachial hemorrhaging.
The correct interpretation of that sentence is that she was strangled whilst being struck on the head. The blow may have been sufficient to kill her, but she was strangled to death first.
