For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
I would have the correct clothes for it, but it's a Bratz and mine are all Ken & Barbie or GI Joe. They're too small.
"Mr. Ramsey: Listen Carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We respect your business, but not the country it serves.
At this time, we have your daughter in our possession. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter.
You will withdraw $118,000 from your account. $100,000 will be in $100 bills and the remaining $18,000 in $20 bills. Make sure that you bring an adequate size attache to the bank.
When you get home, you will put the money in a brown paper bag. I will call you between 8 and 10 a.m. tomorrow to instruct you on delivery. The delivery will be exhausting so I advise you to be rested. If we monitor you getting the money early we might call you early to arrange an earlier delivery of the money and hence and earlier pickup of your daughter.
Any deviation of my instructions will result in the immediate execution of your daughter. You will also be denied her remains for a proper burial. The two gentlemen watching over your daughter do not particularly like you so I advise you not to provoke them.
Speaking to anyone about your situation, such as police or F.B.I. will result in your daughter being beheaded. If we catch you talking to a stray dog, she dies. If you alert bank authorities, she dies. If the money is in way marked or tampered with, she dies. You can try to deceive us, but be warned we are familiar with law enforcement countermeasures and tactics.
You stand a 99% chance of killing your daughter if you try to outsmart us. Follow our instructions and you stand a 100% of getting her back. You and your family are under constant scrutiny, as well as the authorities.
Don't try to grow a brain John. You are not the only fat cat around so don't think that killing will be difficult. Don't underestimate us, John. Use that good, Southern common sense of yours. It's up to you now John! Victory! S.B.T.C."
Thanks.
Now, see, I didn't even think of *that* person...shows how my brain works. The whole thing just makes me ill. This was the first highly publicised child murder that occured after I became a parent, I think that is part of why I paid more attention to it than I did to those that came before. There are some scary people in this world we live in. I really hope that there will someday be a definitive, without-a-doubt, all-wrapped-up, complete resolution to this case. I won't, however, be holding my breath.
"Completely finished basement" -- Does that not make you want to cringe??

Any deviation of my instructions will result in the immediate execution of your daughter. (Ransom Note)
If you deviate from our instructions in anyway what so ever she will be killed (Ruthless People)
Don't try to grow a brain John (Ransom Note)
Do not attempt to grow a brain (Speed)
Hmmm. I'll do a couple of these that aren't complicated and that I haven't already done (4 of them I answered in a previous post).
1. Asked & answered, lol.
2. Maybe she did wear the jacket down there. Or, the perp had been hugging or rubbing up against Patsy that night and had some of the fibers which had been shed from her Christmas sweater on his own clothes, which then fell off (Locard).
3. To make an accident look like the work of a fiend.
4. I don't know that John was wearing the same clothes. The night before, it was a black Israeli-made shirt, unless I've got that mixed up with another time. Seems like it had something festive, like velvet, on the cuffs or collar. (*His* shower wasn't broken.)
5. The 9-1-1 tape enchancement is available on the 'Net for your listening pleasure - in about 100 different versions. Just google. Why they let him sleep (which he wasn't actually doing) is as odd as having Fleet White (the parent) go up and get him, make his bed for him, and then whisk him off to the Whites' house - where no one was home except Pris's out-of-town guests, in fact, I think just her seniors-age parents. This, while a small foreign faction that had just kidnapped their daughter was allegedly watching their every move.
Will continue in another post ...
Okay...
This was part of the MSNBC show...
That parts of the ransom note had quotes in it that came from movies that had a kidnapping theme to them.
read 1469 and 1472
bttt
Yep, and I think they put together a pretty good program, don't you?
The were seveal movies mentioned on the special on MSNBC. Apparently lines had been taken from the movies and used in the note.....All "guy movies" hadn't seen any of them, and it went my too fast for me to catch....Maybe ONYX will remember some of them.
I wish now I would have TIVO'd it. Oh well.
What a weird note. Why be so prissy as to tell him to bring a big enough case to the bank, and to get enough sleep for the delivery? I've read it before but I am picking up on some of the stranger "telling" details anew.

6. She was only dragged a few feet from where LE thought she was attacked, just outside the wine cellar door, on the carpeted area near the freezer and heater boiler, into the wine cellar to conceal her body. Then the door was closed and the wooden stop-latch, a small chunk of wood on a nail, at the top of the door jamb, was turned down to lock it.
7. Qui'en sabe? This one's more than I want to get into right now.
8. Another "too complicated" one for now.
9. I can't imagine why - but there is another explanation that defies belief. Has to do with a kid misunderstanding "Hi-Tec" for "high tech" and thinking his light-up sneakers or ones with a compass on them were the answer.
10. I don't believe in stun guns
