For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
Shows your natural sleuthing ability ;-)
Go back and look for my posts.
No way, too much work and I'm too lazy!
Okay, let's get the known facts set down, point by point....
Karr claims that he was at the Ramsey's Christmas party, ON CHRISTMAS DAY of 1996, with one of his brothers and just stayed in the house, after it was over.
The party was on DECEMBER 23, 1996. His brother didn't work for Mr. Ramsey, wasn't at the party, and Karr wasn't in Colorado on December 23, 1996.
Karr's family claims that he never missed a Christmas with them. Yes, they might be lying.
Karr claims that he picked Jonbenet up from school.
There was NO school ( Christmas vacation! ) and he never picked her up.
The $118,000 is AFTER TAX money and no, that wouldn't have been public knowledge. That was said ten years ago and it's being said now.
Though the net was around ten years ago, there was a whole LOT less on it, back then, than there today. Even IF Karr was obsessed with Jonbenet, which I doubt, before she was murdered, there really was NOT a lot that he could have found out about her and her family back then.
The DNA has been corrupted.
Lots of people confess to high profile cases, though they didn't commit the crime. I don't know why they do, but they do. This is just another one such.
That, of course, is a possibility; however, it doesn't prove that he did it, nor would it explain how he knew the inside of
the Ramsey's house so well.
But that still doesn't explain how Karr could be the killer.
This case has been botched from the beginning!
oh you must it is real interesting.
There was some questioning about some out of place photos in the basement that Patsy was asked about.
it starts here...

There's NO proof that he's EVER been in Colorado; well, none that has been given, to thsi date.
I was unaware of the S.B.T.C until a few days ago. Ten years ago I was busy taking care of a two year old and a newborn. I wasn't online ten years ago like I am now either. Somehow I managed to miss the details of the ransom note.
This was treated as CELEBRITY NEWS, back then; just the sort of thing a 23 /24 year old WOULD have been interested in. It was on A CURRENT AFFAIR and the rest of those shows, as well as the then still BIG TIME night time shows. :-)
That's why the headline is either hilarious or a huge slip on the part of his newly hired lawyer.
I certainly didn't pay much attention to it ten years ago. Was sick with the flu this week and couldn't get far from the rest room...
So I started correcting people comments such as "He picked her up from school" "He drugged her" The Thai official who claimed that Karr said that, later renigged on those statements and a couple of others. Of course the MSM didn't give it much space and many people still think erroneously thik they are true.
I love to solve the mystery before I come to the end of the book....So I guess that's what I'm doing now. Correcting false infomation when possible....and brainstorming "how could X have done it"?
*shrugs*
Yep.
The ransome note was a big deal, but I'll wager there's only a limited few who recall the details. I remembered the $118K, and "some" initilas, but not the specific SBTC, just the "Victory."
why don't you send me a Free Republic private reply by clicking on private reply at the bottom of this post.
Do you have a financial interest in this item?
I see you have signed on here to post the link to e-bay.
What, if anything do you know about the item?
I'm sorry that you've been ill.
I too, love to "solve the mystery" before the book or film is over and usually do so.
This one just doesn't add up...yet and may never. I do think it's a hoax.
That was me too. I knew there was a ransom note, but I hadn't read it until a few days ago. I knew about the $118,000, and that she was found dead in her home. I also knew about the pageants. I figured the parents were guilty based on all the media reports.
I no longer think that.
well Val... did you go back and read it?
