It's been reported that the first wife's family says he also used it in notes and letters to her. Read it here on FR. Think they did an interview on tv today.
Also I've read conflicting reports about the bonus, none saying the amount was AFTER TAXES, but that it was a 1995 bonus as a stock option that took effect in Feb 1996, which means that it would be public information availble in company quarterlies that any good obsessed criminal could have located.
And you don't know if Karr ever saw or met JonBenet. You don't know that, no one knows that yet. The kid was on the pageant circuit and had vids and pics out there. She was professionally photgraphed repeatedly.
I just read the links and I still say that Karr didn't kill Jonbenet.
No, I doubt that you'll have to eat your words. It is just about IMPOSSIBLE that Karr killed Jonbenet.
Hoosiermama did find a child beauty pagent that took place in Atlanta, which offers the slightest of slight possibilities that Karr could have attended the pagent or seen a pic of her in the newspaper.
The Polly Klass case was huge at the time. Winona Ryder put up a $200,000 reward (a Petaluma native).
Perhaps the coverage gave him the desire to make a similar media splash?
Ten years ago, the Jonbenet stuff was all over every media outlet and the ransom note, with those initials were prominently displayed. They didn't say one word about it back then.
I don't watch early morning T.V. and NEVER watch news on network T.V.; so I missed this. What I did NOT miss, is the stuff about what Karr signed in someone's high school yearbook.
Did Ray's parents show the notes? Have they been published anywhere? I'm really curious about their coming froward with this story now.
Jon was in a pageant in Georgia on August 13th. She placed second....
Isn't it likely they gave her name, the name of her parents.....
It's not difficult to get someone's home address/ phone etc from the web.
Would her picture have been in GA papers. Her grandparents lived there and their daughters also participated in beauty contests...Imaging they did a lot of PR for their grandbaby.

Remember the pageant photographer (Simons?) that was picked up wandering naked saying "I didn't kill JonBenet"?
He had done photos of JonBenet. What if he had secretly done "questionable" poses and marketed them to pedophiles?

Baloney! Most people were just as interested in the Jonbenet case, 10 years ago, as they are in this, today. It was all over every T.V. station and in newspapers and magazines. The ransom note was published and "experts" talked about it endlessly.

The first wife would have been what, 23-24 years old. Not an age group associated with being news junkies.
