Evolution is not the explanation for life ... and what a 'leap of faith' you exhibit by making such an assertion! Evolution is the explanation for how life develops, changes organismal groups, and deals with complexity through adaptation. If you want to address abiogenesis, well, that's a different notion altogether.
I noticed my sloppy use of the word "life" immediately after I'd posted. But you can't edit your own posts on FR. I agree that evolution and abiogenesis aren't the same subject, and that I should have used the word "species" not "life".
